Long Journey Home II

Feeling a bit lately as if I'm making my way through a fog, so here's another version of a photo posted earlier here. This is my son and my mother, walking in the fog in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
More posts to come soon.

Wow! What an absolutely absorbing photo. You could easily pass for a professional with work like this, Pat.

Thanks, John! I love this one, too. The color of it, and the fog is so...misty, foggy...lonely looking.... and I like that fact that they are both in step with each other.

Speaking of professional work...I'm shooting my second wedding in August.

Thanks for the blog visit!

Wow, a wedding. Good for you! That's a heavy commitment. But I just can't believe how great that misty photo is. I keep looking at it again and again, and loving it more every time. Did you do any post-shot digital manipulation? It just seems too good to be real (something no one has or will ever say about, for instance, my writing).

Hi John. I think you love it as much as I do!

The only photo manipulation I used on this was cropping, using the sepia tone, and I think darkening it a bit. It really was that foggy that October morning in the mountains. It was absolutely gorgeous, and peaceful, and mysterious.... I'd really like to go back.

The wedding -- it's a small wedding, and the family knows what I can do, and what I have (and haven't yet) done. I'm looking forward to it.

Tomorrow I have off work, so I hope to get to work on that interview I've been mentioning....

Good luck with the interview.

Thanks for pointing me to your blog. I'm adding it to my blog roll, so I can check back often. Your Mom and I corresponded for years since I do the genealogy for my cousins. Carol told me that I was an honorary McGoey! LOL

Hi Linda! Thanks for stopping by. Can't wait to peruse more of your blog soon. We seem to have a lot of interests in common. But I'm not the best at geneology -- heck sometimes I even mix up my kids names... So I am thankful people like you can help us keep the relatives straight. :-b Thanks for all of your work on it.
